You Get What You Deserve, Not What You Want in Life

Tell the world what you want…

I love the idea that you need to tell the world what you want.  But how many of us do just that?  Not many…

We might think about what we want.  We might even talk about it once in a while.  But most of us don’t declare or tell the world what we want for several reasons…

We don’t tell the world what we want because we either “don’t really know what we want” or we are “afraid of what people will think”.  Or better yet, we might actually just be afraid or fearful that it is not something we can really attain.

The problem with this is that we hesitate and keep ourselves from creating a life filled with happiness, prosperity and success due to fear, hesitation and doubt.  This is no way to live.  We MUST find the courage to figure out what we want and then declare it to the world.  It’s only then that we can truly get what we want.

It reminds me of something Charlie Munger said.  Charles Thomas Munger (98) is an American billionaire investor, businessman, and former real estate attorney. He is vice chairman of Berkshire Hathaway, the conglomerate controlled by Warren Buffett; Buffett has described Munger as his closest partner and right-hand man.

He said…

“To get what you want, you have to deserve what you want. The world is not yet a crazy enough place to reward a whole bunch of undeserving people.”

-Charles Munger

Did you catch that?  You don’t get what you want…you get what you deserve…

So, I want you to think about what you really want like we’ve talked about the last few weeks.  But I also want you to make sure the world knows what it is you are wanting…then work like crazy to get it.

Poem-My Wage

I bargained with Life for a penny,

And Life would pay no more,

However I begged at evening

When I counted my scanty store;

For Life is a just employer,

He gives you what you ask,

But once you have set the wages,

Why, you must bear the task.

I worked for a menial’s hire,

Only to learn, dismayed,

That any wage I had asked of Life,

Life would have paid.

So here is a question…

If someone were to look at your social media or be around your circle of influence…would they know what you really, truly want in life.  Or, would they have to ask you??  That is the key.

Find what you want and ask the universe for it.  Declare what you want to the world.

Now before I go, I want to give you a quick remind of things I feel you can do to create your best life.  This always come back to the 12 Prosperity Pillars I’ve put together after 20+ years of working with the world’s best mentors and thought leaders.
