How to Use Momentum to Create Progress

Today I wanna talk to you about momentum and how you can use momentum to really go to the next level in your life, whether you’re doing great or whether you’re struggling.

Momentum will be your friend. So before I do that, I just want to mention to you, if you haven’t already headed over to, you could pretty much go to all the channels, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and get that quote of the day. We always send out a quote of the day, and the goal here is to really expose your mind to everything you need to stay in that.

Zone to stay in that positive area that’s gonna help you to, attract success, create momentum. And so I really encourage you to do that. And check it out. Follow those quotes every single day. Let’s talk about momentum, because I wanna I wanna identify a thought that I had the other day and it was my boy Rob Dyrdek, that kind of put out this idea that.

Some people are depressed, some people are anxious. You might even actually be doing really well, but feel like you’re hitting a ceiling. And the question really becomes, are you really stuck or are you just lacking momentum? I wanna break that down for a little bit. I wanna talk to you about what it is you’re dealing with, why momentum can be the key for you, and then some ways that you can use to really create some momentum.

First of all I know we’ve all had times in our life where we feel down. Where you feel like you’re not moving forward, where you feel like you are, maybe you’re depressed, maybe you’re anxious, maybe you feel like things are just not going your way. I know as you get older, I definitely, I was talking to Michelle just the other day.

When you get older, we feel like there’s more pressure, there’s more urgency. Things aren’t happening the way we are. And the challenge that we have is that our life gives us all these experiences and all these. What if scenarios that we reflect back on. And because of that, you might feel anxious, you might feel sad, you might feel regretful.

You might, these are all based on experiences right in the past. But the bottom line is it really might be that you are just not experiencing progress. This also happens when you are frustrated. So you might be moving, you might be doing some things, but you might not be seeing the results as quickly as you’d like.

You also might not be getting for example, I’ve had success many times in my life where I felt like I’ve tapped that ceiling that I can’t bust through that ceiling to the next level. And the bottom line is in order for you to break through to the next level, whether you feel stuck, whether you feel like you’re frustrated or whether you feel like you’re not getting further in your success, you’re plateauing in your success.

You need momentum to go to the next level. Momentum is absolutely gonna be the key. Now let’s talk about why momentum is so important and why it can make such a difference for you. First of all, think about human nature. I. We all for example I’ve been, I’ve had a lot of success in my life and there’s been times I’ve been very, super successful, but not felt happy or fulfilled.

But the bottom line is when you create growth personally, professionally, spiritually, whatever it is you’re looking at, when you create growth in your life, You are going to feel more fulfilled and growth is simply progress. It’s simply moving forward is simply finding ways to create momentum. So when we think about momentum, sometimes we give it too much when the, even the small.

Changes in growth and forward movement can cause momentum, can cause you to move forward. And it’s that growth and forward movement, that progress, let’s call it, that’s going to help you go to the next level to get unstuck, to get less mo frustrated, to have a better vision and clarity. It’s the growth and progress.

So fulfillment and growth and progress all come from this idea of momentum. Also, momentum can give you motivation. You know what it’s like when you feel like you’re winning. That’s why they say winners win. Losers lose because when you have progress, when you have momentum, what you find is that you’re gonna be more motivated.

So sometimes, instead of looking for motivation, you need to look to create some momentum. And then the last reason I really think momentum can be a key for you is one, one of the things that I think people underestimate is the fact that your willpower is in short supply. We can only push ourselves and use our willpower so much.

We need to have habits, and we need to have discipline move into the picture. Momentum can also be something that can carry you even when you’re struggling. That’s why sometimes, you find some of the most successful people out there. Are still moving forward, even though they struggle with depression and frustration, or they have a big major setback.

It might be some legal battle or might be some downturn in their business or a pandemic, for example. But momentum of business and momentum of personal thoughts, momentum of your mindset can carry you forward. So even some mornings when I don’t feel like getting up, I don’t feel like doing what I need to do.

The momentum of my daily activities. Keeps me pushing through it. I’m just telling you right now, I have many mornings that I have to roll out of bed. I do not jump out of bed. I’m not the. [3:00] AM, [4:00] AM [5:00] AM club. I’m 5 36, but the bottom line is it’s tough sometimes, but momentum and that forward progress can help you to move forward.

So the key is you’ve gotta create momentum. And don’t overthink momentum. Momentum doesn’t have to be, it’s not some big silver bullet. Momentum isn’t some huge win that carries you through momentum is the little things, the consistent things. Over time that create consistency and progress. It’s if you’ve ever started a fire or you know what I’m talking about.

When you you may have seen some of those wilderness survival shows or whatever, if you haven’t started a fire, the bottom line is you don’t start a fire by putting a big log on it. You start with a little kindling, you start with a little flame, you stoke the fire, you blow on it a little bit, you get it going, and the more and more it goes, the more you can throw on top of it.

And that’s when eventually you get this bonfire going and you can throw a big giant log on there. It’s no big deal. The problem is some of us are trying to bite so much off that we’re throwing this big log on the fire and we’re hoping it’s gonna start because we need a big fire going in our life. But the bottom line is you have to be able to kindle and start and work and slowly progress that fire just like it is in your life.

It takes the little things, it takes the daily rituals, it takes the consistency of the day to day in order to create momentum. So start. Really giving huge value to these daily rituals that I talk about. The 12 prosperity pillars, the fact that you have a daily routine. Start your morning and end your day, bookend it with two bookends.

You know what I’m talking about. Start your day with rituals and end your day with rituals. And do what it takes to help you personally get moving. That’s the whole point behind momentum, get moving. So what does it take to get moving? For me it’s getting up and going to the gym because I know sometimes people get the mindset first.

Sometimes get the physical or the body. Sometimes they get the, your cup of coffee, caffeine, whatever it is. But get your daily rituals that are going to, number one, start moving you forward and number two, move you forward towards. What it is you’re trying to accomplish. So it might be reading, it might be journaling, it might be, whatever it is that puts you in the mindset of growth.

Because when you can win the morning, you can win the day. And so if you start out with two or three things, it might be yoga, it might be meditation, it might be a workout. I always recommend physically moving. ’cause movement creates emotion. Creates emotion, creates energy. Right motion, emotion, energy, and energy is gonna keep you moving forward.

So get those daily rituals going. And the bottom line is in order to create momentum, it just simply means you need to move. I. You need to keep moving and you need to move. And the key, and the last thing I want to mention here is that when it comes to momentum, the most important thing is consistency.

Because what you can’t create, you can’t create momentum if you’re not consistent. In other words, you can’t go. Like clockwork to the gym for seven days and then take a week off and then come back and think you’re gonna have any kind of momentum. However, you could go every other day or three days a week, every week, and you can create momentum.

So consistency. Is the key to creating momentum. It’s anything else. If you can, it’s like the, you think about a big train, a big locomotive on a track. It, it takes a lot of power to get it moving, but as it starts moving, and the more it starts to move, the faster it goes and the less energy it takes to keep it moving.

So remember, once you get that consistency going, don’t give up on it because it’s gonna take you a whole lot more to get it back going. So let’s recap here. It doesn’t matter if you feel frustrated, sad, or depressed, or even stuck at a ceiling or a plateau of where you are financially or mentally or physically.

Even in the gym, you’ve got to create momentum because it will motivate you. It will help you to feel growth and fulfillment, and it will carry you through when you don’t have the mo, the motivation or the discipline. So you’ve gotta create momentum in your life and it’s gonna start with those little things.

I promise you that if you will stay consistent with the little things, you’re gonna see changes in your life. So that’s my message for today. I hope you have an amazing day. I look forward to talking with you more. We’ve got a couple of live events that are coming up and some online streaming events.
