9 Ways to Be a Leader 4 of 5

Welcome back to this 5 Day series on How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie.  We are on Day 4 and we are covering a high level review of the Amazing Principles and Strategies taught in this book and I want to remind you to pick up a copy and dive into all the stories and case studies he gives in this All-Time Best seller.
 
There are four major parts of this book and we are on Part 4 today on How to Be a Leader…How to Change People Without Giving Offense or Arousing Resentment.

4- Be a Leader:  How to Change People Without Giving Offense or Arousing Resentment
  1. Begin with praise and honest appreciation.
  2. Call attention to people’s mistakes indirectly.
  3. Talk about your own mistakes before criticizing the other persons.
  4. Ask questions instead of giving direct orders.
  5. Let the other person save face.
  6. Praise the slightest improvement and praise every improvement.
  7. Give the other person a fine reputation to live up to.
  8. Use encouragement.  Make the fault seem easy to correct.
  9. Make the other person happy about doing the thing you suggest.

I have always felt that Leadership Skills are one of the most important skills you can develop in  business and in life.  I hope that these concepts and principles can help you to level up to a much higher degree in your life and business.
